Oliver Aust, Host
Oliver Aust has almost twenty years’ experience in communications and public affairs, gained in senior positions in London, Brussels, and Berlin. He advises C-level executives and senior communicators of global blue chip companies and political organisations. Oliver has frequently been at the frontline of some of the most high-profile reputational challenges in Europe and can draw on his personal experience of hundreds of media interviews as chief communicator for a publicly listed company, including many flagship programmes such as the BBC’s Today programme and Germany’s main TV news programme, Tagesschau.
Lena Carlson, Host
Lena Carlson is a digital consultant & social media expert. Hailing from Australia, Lena has previously worked with multinational corporations such as Deutsche Telekom and Bentley Systems as well as startups all around the world advising them concerning their digital communications in an international context. At Deutsche Telekom she was an integral part of the communications team for hub:raum, Deutsche Telekom’s startup incubator. She also worked as a social media strategist and internal communications expert for immmr, one of Telekom’s innovation projects.
Ariane Coulombe, Producer
With a background in radio and journalism, Ariane is passionate about telling stories that matter. Born in Canada and having lived in both Switzerland and Germany for several years, she is a French and English native speaker and has previously worked as a researcher for both NGOs and leading Canadian research institutions. Ariane’s work focuses on government relations and international media relations. She also contributes as a freelancer to different online media outlets in Berlin.
Vincent Wolff, Producer
Vincent is a co-producer of the podcast. He advises clients in corporate and political communications with an additional focus on digital media strategies and social media campaigns. Of Chilean-German descent, he dedicates his free time to train for ironman races. Vincent developed his affinity for media and recording when he first served as a child reporter for a German TV programme at the age of 11.
Céline Van den Rul, Assistant producer
Céline Van den Rul focuses on corporate communications and international media relations. She has previously worked in management consulting, public affairs and communications for clients ranging from the European Commission to leading philanthropies and a national government. Working for a renowned British communications agency, she was able to develop valuable media skills by supporting their clients’ international PR strategies. Originally from Brussels, Céline has lived all over the world, from Brussels, London, New York to Berlin!
